There are only a few key things you need to know about me, dear reader. This short list will give you a pretty well-rounded picture of me, Alina Senderzon, graphic designer to the masses.
Favorite Color: Orange
Annoying Habits: Many
Age: Old enough to drink, young enough to get carded
Childhood Aspiration: To be a teacher. Mainly, because it would be very satisfying to mark mistakes with a fat red pen
Fave Song of the Moment: “Don’t Panic” by Coldplay. It just makes me feel happy.
Do: Give me a juicy novel
Don’t: Wake me, if I’m sleeping. You’ve been warned.
Reader Beware
Well, folk, I’m doing it. I’ve been waiting on the sidelines, and I’m finally jumping into this whole blogging pool.
What will you find here? Not much, let’s be honest. You will not read any literary genius, nor will you discover fancy design tricks. What you’ll get is me… my crazy ramblings and observations on this industry, life, and personal stuff. So why am I doing this? Well, you see, I complain. I complain a lot. I complain about everything! It’s not that I particularly enjoy it, it just – how should I say it – comes natural to me.
If you were to meet me, you’d see a generally pleasant gal with a semi-funny nose and a decent sense of humor, who laughs at silly jokes and makes you feel like we’d been friends for at least 5 weeks. Don’t believe it! It’s really just a carefully crafted veneer of pleasantness. It’s not that I’m not nice. I’m plenty nice. But in the deepest depth of my soul I’m a grouch and a cynic. I over-analyze, I care about too many unimportant things, and I talk to myself in my head. Which brings me back to this blog. I’ve convinced myself that putting some of that talking-to-myself nonsense down would make me feel less crazy. Makes sense, no?
I’m not trying to turn you off. It’s just that I want to be honest and upfront, so that you understand whom you’re dealing with over here.
In a second I’ll click “publish” and you would have learned the truth about me. Should I do it?
Hm…
